Ames House, is located behind Chatham House in St James Square in the West end of London. The works involved the conversion and extension of an existing five office building to create 3no. prime residential duplex apartments totalling circa 12,000 sq ft on the upper floors of the building. As part of the development the 5th floor was demolished and replace with a new double height duplex penthouse apartment with external terraces.
This contemporary design by design consultant Originate Architects maximised the envelop with a stepped back Clerestory to one side and a glazed wall to the other side. The existing office and world renown conference facilities in the building below remained operational throughout the construction period.
Concert provided full project and cost management services for this scheme. The works were completed in 2017.
