With seven floors within Building R7, Handyside Street in Kings Cross, the project aims to deliver office space and facilities for their specialist AI partner organisation. Delivery is in two phases to address an immediate need for additional office space and to provide more time to design and deliver the remainder of the floors.
Phase 1: Incorporates a restaurant, café, meeting rooms and venue space on level 7, and two floors of office space on levels 5 and 6. The infrastructure to support their corporate network and key services is also being delivered.
Phase 2: Provides further office space, a suite of robotics labs, a floor of events and meeting room facilities, and a new reception and visitor experience at ground floor level.
Robust change management was required to incorporate late design changes. The implications of these changes were fully reviewed by the client and project team, who worked flexibly to keep within programme.
