Concert are a construction consultancy and have been successfully delivering projects for almost 50 years in a range of sectors across the industry.

We are now developing our CDM department and are and looking for an experienced CDM Consultant to join the team.

The role is based in our London office, and, like many others, we have embraced the sort of flexible working that allows us to vary our attendance in the office, affording our team a better work/life balance.

Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

  • Assist the Director of CDM
  • Provide Principal Designer services in line with the CDM 2015 Regulations, including;
    • advising clients of their CDM duties
    • preparing, reviewing, issuing, and updating pre-construction information
    • planning and leading CDM design risk workshops
    • reviewing designers risk information
    • preparing, developing, reviewing, and issuing of health and safety files.
  • Depending on the scope of service being delivered to clients the role may also require;
    • Construction Phase Plan assessments
    • issuing F10 Notifications
    • Assessment of contractor skills, knowledge, experience and resource
    • Review of RAMS etc.
  • Undertaking CDM audits
  • Contribute to health, safety and wellbeing bulletins to share information and lessons learned with the project teams.
  • Act as an ambassador to promote health, safety and wellbeing as an integral part of the design process.

Requirements Essential:

  • 5 years minimum experience in application of CDM (Post 2015) to multi-disciplined projects, including delivery of the Principal Designer role.
  • Proven skills and competence in delivery of Principal Designer/CDM services.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of CDM 2015 and construction-related health and safety legislation.
  • Good IT skills – Microsoft Office packages
  • Current CSCS Card

Requirements Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Membership of the Association for Project Safety
  • IOSH membership.
  • Auditing experience
