On the 19th December 2016 Hyundai Capital moved into their new UK Headquarters, a fit out of approximately 9,000 sq ft of category A space at London Court in Reigate. Concert is thrilled to have worked with the Hyundai team to ensure the successful completion after the 10-week construction period.
Concert provided Project Management and Cost Management services for this relocation from shared accommodation with Santander, to the newly refurbished offices in order to meet evolving businesses needs.
The new space offers contemporary, flexible working for an expanding workforce with moveable and adjustable desks, sliding/folding walls to the boardroom, pull down power cords fixed to the open mesh ceiling and writable walls within meeting rooms and offices. The main entrance area features a bespoke artwork piece whilst the lounge and games rooms provide employees with the opportunity to socialise, relax and play video games.
There were a number of challenges that this project presented for the team to overcome. Hyundai Capital’s expectation in terms of the quality of the space as well as it’s functionality were a main priority, along with the short timescale within which the project needed to be planned, designed and constructed. Concert worked fastidiously to ensure that the new office was handed over within the tight five month period allocated, without compromising on quality.
Careful monitoring of the budget throughout the design and procurement process, working closely with the project team and Hyundai Capital, ensured the successful delivery of the project. Philippe Paré, Principal Design Director at Gensler, says: “Hyundai Capital’s five month timeframe and strict budget called for an extraordinary effort from the project team. Gensler worked closely with Concert to ensure the delivery of a contemporary facility. Their commitment from the outset was outstanding and their proactive approach to managing the budget and procurement process helped to realise this exceptional workplace.”
The project showcases the elegant and stylish design standards which Hyundai Capital strive to achieve throughout their global portfolio of buildings, with a huge emphasis on attention to detail with a mix of various finishes and features to blend seamlessly together. Concert is honoured to have their name against Hyundai Capital’s for this outstanding building.
