Concert announces new Development Management service, headed up by Fraser Allen.

Concert is launching a new Development Management team, with a particular focus on responding to demand within the affordable housing sector. This part of the business will be headed up by Fraser Allen, who brings with him 30 years’ experience in the property sector. Concert’s expertise in development management will enhance its current service offering of project management, cost management and principal design.

The Development Management team will provide a trusted link between housing associations, developers, funders, planners, local authorities, plus their professional teams and the construction supply chain. Allen’s team will take responsibility for managing and coordinating; development appraisals, business planning, pre-contract activities for projects across the UK, in all aspects of property and site-wide infrastructure.

Concert’s value lies in managing and advising on the development process from initial site acquisition strategies to working up initial concepts to create optimum value, right through to procurement, construction, and project completion. The scope of the new team’s expertise extends to stakeholder engagement, Section 106 advice, affordable housing viability as well as joint venture and partnership strategies.

Development Management Director Fraser Allen says, “What we offer is unparalleled expertise and knowledge, adding value to our client’s development activity from the acquisition stage and risk mitigation advice through to cost effective structural and building know-how. We can identify inefficiencies, cost overruns and time delays on site using our specialist dashboards and reporting structures.”

Allen is perfectly placed for this new role, joining Concert from MHA London, where he was head of operations and strategy and has over three decades’ experience in the property sector. He aims to use his extensive existing network plus build new relationships to grow the Development Management service offering.

Rennie Dalrymple, Managing Director, Concert, says “We recognise that, quite rightly, affordable housing is one of the government’s priorities over the next few years. With the establishment of our Development Management team, we can provide a value-add, end-to-end service from a strategic focus to professional management throughout the development life cycle. We aim to support a range of clients, from private developers to local authorities to ensure affordable housing commitments are fulfilled in a timely, quality-driven way.”
