Concert provided cost management and project management services for the conversion of a distribution warehouse into a high efficiency data centre. The project was a phased fit out and the total data hall accommodation is over 100,000 sq ft in eight halls. Phase 1 includes the completion of four halls, encompassing 45,000 sq ft of technical accommodation.
The centre utilises fresh air cooling to minimise the carbon footprint and optmises operational running costs with an estimated PUE of 1.17. The IT load is supported by a N+2 configuration of diesel generators and redundant UPS systems. The project has been awarded the Data Centre Dynamics, Green Data Centre Design Award (2008) and has recently achieved the Data Centre Design Award by the Uptime Institute.
