Concert were appointed as cost manager, project manager and principal designer for the development of an existing industrial site to new tier 3 data centre accommodation. The site was a an existing distribution unit that required extensive adaptations including re-roofing, re-cladding and the construction of a new mezzanine floor with external plant gantries.
The project was built in 4 phases delivering a total of 15MW over 7nr Data Halls which are cooled by Indirect Evaporative Cooling Units housed on external plant gantries.
Using the NEC3 form of contract, the contracts were placed on a Design & Build basis with a formal gain-share mechanism.
